Back to Basics Relationships with Other Bloggers

Last week, I read a post by AP that really resonated with me. She discussed why she wasn't accepting paid advertising from other bloggers anymore.? ? When I started blogging in 2009, a blogger advertising on other blogs was unheard of.? I've partnered with BlogHer basically since I started blogging and love it...that's more on the business side though.? But other bloggers paying to advertise with blogs?? Didn't happen.? Instead, you found a blog you loved and advertised it because you loved it.
So I've been thinking - I really want to get back to that.? I want to get back to finding a blog I love, wanting to advertise it, and doing it.? I'm not saying it's a bad thing to take money from other bloggers to advertise on your blog - if that's what you want to do, go for it!? I just don't think it's my style anymore.
So here's the deal - I will no longer be accepting paid advertising from other bloggers on Lamberts Lately.? If I've already discussed a paid advertising spot with you, or if you currently have blogger advertising going, I will honor it.? But, I will be accepting no new blogger advertising.
I will still be accepting business advertising.? I love finding new business partnerships and bringing them to you guys!? I have a strict rule that I only bring you businesses that I love and I think you will love too.? I frequently turn down business partnerships because I just don't think it's the right fit for my blog.? I hope you love some of the offers I bring you as much as I do! ? Have no fear - if you still want space on my blog, there is a way!? I will be offering 10 button swap spots on my sidebar.? This is totally free - I think it will be a fun way to find new blogs and build new relationships.? Go here if you're interested in doing a button swap - all the details are there!? Am I shooting myself in the foot with this post?? Maybe.? But sometimes, you just know what is right for you - this is right for me and for my blog.? I can't wait to get back to basics with other bloggers.
