CHICAGO, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Carlos Boozer provided 20 points with 13 rebounds and Chicago's defense allowed only five second-quarter points Monday in its 97-58 rout of Atlanta.
Luol Deng connected on 7-of-9 shots on his way to 18 points and Joakim Noah paced the Bulls' tough defense with 16 rebounds to go with nine points in Chicago's win.
The Bulls put the game away when they outscored the Hawks 22-5 in the second quarter as Atlanta was able to connect on only nine of its first 40 shots of the game.
Atlanta finished the contest with a paltry 29.3 percent average from the floor, losing for the seventh time in nine games.
Mike Scott led the Hawks with 10 points while Josh Smith and Al Horford combined to go 7-for-24 from the field for a total of 15 points.
